I've hired a Realtor!
So Ben is growing up. This past weekend I had my first meeting for what I hope will become a fruitful relationship. I've met with a realtor. Yes, after being in Detroit for 5 years Ben Carpenter finally has the maturity to handle his own home. I've been debating this for about two years now, but for some reason always came up with some really lame excuse. I imagine that Kyle (my housemate) is probably ready to get rid of me as I've been living with him for over 4 years now, but man I bet that rent money I've been paying him was nice. So I'm hoping a by mid to late winter I'll be moving into a new place. I'm not looking for anything fancy, but definelty not a huge fixer upper either. I've seen all the fun my friends have had with some of their homes and while I appreciate their experiences, I don't really want to go down that path. So here's to good home shopping.
I made it back to Indiana the past couple of weekends for a couple of different events. In early November it was to see the ol high school get their butts kicked 40-7 in a game in which everyone thought we had our first ligitimate shot to actually make it somewhere. Jimtown was the defending state champs though. It was great to see everyone though and sit through absolutely freaking cold weather with friends. GM had election day off on that Tuesday so I was able to make a four day weekend of it. Had such a great time that Sunday night my parents asked me if they were going to be able to see me at all while I was home. Also made it home last weekend for the wedding of Haley Lantz (now Mrs. Marty Yoder), a good friend from high school. She started dating a guy back in June and five months later its official. This whole dating thing when you're out of school scares me. Things seem to happen way too quick. In my mind I still have the date for 2-3 years thing going, but I guess when you know, you know, and thus apparently, I don't know yet. Also by the way they didn't have a garter toss, so I was unable to capture my seventh garter.
Have a great Thanksgiving everybody!
