Some Friends, Some Family, And A New Year

Ahh, the annual gathering of college friends over the new year holiday. Good times were again had by all, with the rendezvous point occurring in Baltimore, Maryland this year (Thank you Dan Cochrane). I'm pretty sure that in some form or another at least a couple of us have gotten together since we've been out of school starting with bringing in the year 2002. I've missed a couple of these with trips of my own (Key West and Austin, TX), but no matter where the location, have tried to make it when I was free. Its always neat to reconnect with people, and to see how we have all changed throughout the years. Many of us are now married (some to each other), and we even had our first child present this year, which made the event all the more special. I will have to say that this is probably one of the funniest groups of people I've ever hung out with although I have a feeling that my good buddy Ben Kaminsky may heavily set the tone in this arena. The man has one of the best sense of humors I know. His ability to tell a story is unfounded and his ability to impersonate almost anything amazing. As you can see from the photo below on the right, we were all in tears. I physically hurt from laughing so much. Ben did manage to have the most idiotic moment of the weekend however, when we went down to Washington D.C. for the day he had a little trouble inserting a simple fare card into the turnstile for the Metro. We're all standing around wondering where he's at and for the next minute or so we have the pleasure of watching him struggle through a simple process. I even managed to grab a photo it took so long!

** Special credit goes to Anne Zettle and Jenn Lewis for letting me steal a couple of their photos**

The Girls and their Pink Champagne!!

If anyone is interested in the next gathering I'm hoping to host everyone over Memorial day in my new home which I close on, this Friday.

I also managed to make it down to the Hoyer family Christmas, and we had a great time. You know things are going well when you break up for the evening and its 2 am on Christmas eve. All of the aunts and uncles made it into town which is a pretty big thing considering some are coming from Texas and Kansas. 4 older sisters and one younger brother are pictured to the left.
